Bartels is Back

Growing and breeding cut flower varieties

In 1934 the Bartels family took the first steps in growing and breeding cut flower varieties.
After a short break, Goos Bartels resumed his breeding activities in 2016. We are now proud to present the first commercial results.

Eryngium Series

A serie of quick-flowering Eryngium cultivars with deep colours and strong healthy plants.

The serie has been bred by Maatschap Bos – de Vries, a nursery with more than 40 years of experience in growing and breeding of Eryngium by mother and daughter Nenne Bos and Adrie Klaasse Bos.

Delphinium

At the moment, serious field trials have been set up with highly productive types of Delphinium Belladonna. The first commercial varieties are expected to be introduced mid-2025.

Phlox  B-Eye Series

In the short term, new varieties will be introduced in different colour groups.

Phlox Pot and Garden

Intensive work is being carried out on a compact early flowering series.
This wide-ranging programme is currently being tested in practice.
